Release – Mair C. (UConn ’20, Chapter 2nd Year Class Representative)

The sky cried a little yesterday
But it wasn’t in fact just a little, it was a lot

The road was dark, filled with the heaviness of mother nature’s heart

You and I, side by side, spilling our feelings to the dark road as Mother Nature spilled her tears from above

Unafraid, because by morning they would be gone, washed away by the down pour

I hate getting caught in the rain, yet I love how freeing it is

Reaching a place where you no longer try to escape it, but instead you accept it

And through that acceptance, you learn to enjoy it

Letting the water wash away the worries of yesterday, clearing your mind for a better tomorrow
